Alexandra Masmanidi lives and works in Athens.
She explores different media such as photography, videography, painting and collage.
She is interested in the constant reconstruction of the self challenged by the multitude of new identities.
Her activism in ecology and inclusive feminism, her family and her community of friends play a central role in her work.
She has participated in numerous exhibitions. In 2019 she presented her solo work entitled "Closure" at Subrosa, Athens.
Her work appears in the collection of Onassis Foundation. In 2021 she exhibit her first photobook "Amorous Glances" at the Thaessaloniki PhotoBiennale 2021 in the context of Photobook boom | The Greek case.
Masmanidi studied Photography and Audiovisual Arts at the Athens University of Applied Sciences.
